Our Drums
We use only recycled hardwoods to make our drums,including oak, cherry, black walnut, mahogany, and many more. The type of wood used depends on availability. We also use high quality, pre-stretched sailing rope and ultra solid steel rings.Each drum comes with a built-in, rope macrame handle, and with proper care will last for many years. All drums are made slat style, but we do carve a limited number of drums on a custom order basis.Drums may also be personalized with wood-burned designs. Please call or email for details. Tips
There are a few simple maintenance tips that, if followed, will keep your drum sounding great for many years to come.
1. Never allow your drum to get wet (i.e. leaving it out in the rain).
2. Protect your drum from knocks, especially when travelling, with a padded bag.
3. Direct sunlight or fire will tighten the drum and help bring it into tune temporarily, but will loosen when temperature drops.
